NAVSUP OSBP Director's Message

Chris Espenshade

Welcome to the NAVSUP Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) website. My hope is that you find the comprised resources helpful in navigating the NAVSUP enterprise and becoming familiar with the vast mission that NAVSUP supports for the warfighter. The focus of NAVSUP's Small Business Program centers around three major lines of effort:

  1. Building Partnerships in the Acquisition Process
  2. Optimizing Communications and
  3. Improving Small Business Participation at the Prime and Subcontracted level.

The major link between these three efforts is ensuring maximum communication to industry, specifically on upcoming requirements and our mission.

In support of these efforts, you'll find NAVSUP buying data under What NAVSUP Buys. Additionally, you can locate Small Business Professionals that support NAVSUP buying commands and the OSBP program under Doing Business with NAVSUP. If your company is interested in supporting NAVSUP requirements, I encourage you to fill out a vendor interest form. Become a Vendor This information will be utilized by contracting personnel for their market research efforts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: I want to do work with the Federal Government, where should I start?

Answer 1: For new companies, one of the best resources to utilize is your local Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC). Under the program, Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) help businesses pursue and perform under contracts with the Department of Defense, other federal agencies, state and local governments, and with government prime contractors. Most of the assistance the PTACs provide is free.
