A. No, you must be a US Citizen to work for NAVSUP.

Q. Does NAVSUP offer internship opportunities?

A. Yes, we post our internships on USA Jobs. Go to usajobs.gov and enter “pathways” in the search bar. From there you can look for NAVSUP internships and filter the search results by location, position etc.

Q. Where are positions in NAVSUP located?

A. NAVSUP has positions in Mechanicsburg and Philadelphia, PA; Norfolk, VA; Jacksonville, FL; San Diego, CA; Bremerton, WA; and overseas locations including Japan, Italy, Spain, and Bahrain.

Q. Are employees allow to work from home (telework)?

A. The majority of NAVSUP positions are eligible for telework however; it is the supervisor’s discretion.

Q. Will there be opportunities to travel while working for NAVSUP?

A. Positions in NAVSUP as a whole may require some travel. The amount of travel varies from position to position.

Q. Do I have to serve in the Military to work for NAVSUP?

A. No, NAVSUP is largely a civilian workforce. NAVSUP civilian employees are Federal Civil Servants.

A. No, NAVSUP is part of the Federal Government within the Department of Navy.

Q. Does NAVSUP positions require a Security Clearance?

A. All NAVSUP positions require the same security investigation required for a security clearance.
