Mobile Application Privacy Policy

Information We Collect and Receive

The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) makes mobile apps available to aid its community. These apps are intended only for the use of U.S. Navy personnel (military and civilian) and business partners.

These mobile apps may collect and receive information and data in a variety of ways:

• Individual Data. NAVSUP may collect the names, email addresses, and phone numbers of individuals submitting business data via mobile apps. No other individual data is collected about users of NAVSUP mobile apps.
• Other Information. NAVSUP also collects, generates, or receives other information:
  1. Account Information.
     • The user of a mobile app may be identified and authenticated via their Department of Defense (DOD) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) credentials (or a derived credential).
  2. Usage Information
     • Log data. As with most websites and technology services delivered over the Internet, NAVSUP servers automatically collect information when you access or use our IT Services and record it in log files. This log data may include the Internet Protocol (IP) address, the date and time the Services were used, and information about the work performed.
     • Device information. NAVSUP collects information about devices accessing the IT Services, including type of device, what operating system is used, device settings, application IDs, unique device identifiers and crash data.
     • Location information. NAVSUP does not request precise geo-location information from mobile apps.

How We Use Information

Individual Data may be used by NAVSUP to authenticate or verify submitted business data, and as required by applicable law.
NAVSUP uses Other Information in furtherance of operating our IT Services reliably and securely.

Data Retention

NAVSUP will retain Individual Data gathered by its mobile apps in accordance with the retention policy of the associated business area. Other Information may be kept for an indefinite period of time to support our IT Services.

How We Share And Disclose Information

NAVSUP does not share Individual Data or Other Information with third parties.
