Chief of Staff, Naval Supply Systems Command

Captain Joseph Bossi is a native of Skaneateles, New York, and graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He was a four-year letterman on the United States Naval Academy lacrosse team and was awarded United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-American honors in his senior year. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Petroleum Management from the University of Kansas.

His operational assignments include the command group political advisor aide, Combined Forces Command, Kabul, Afghanistan; assistant supply officer, USS Laboon (DDG 58), Norfolk, VA; supply officer N4, SEAL Team ONE, Coronado, CA; commanding officer, Naval Special Warfare Group ONE, Logistics Support Unit, Coronado, CA.

His shore assignments include common systems avionics branch head, aide to the Commander, aviation launch and recovery equipment team lead, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Weapon Systems Support, Philadelphia, PA; regional fuel director, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Yokosuka, Japan; LT shore / overseas detailer, LT operational/Post Graduate School detailer and pit boss / LCDR detailer, Supply Corps Office of Personnel, Navy Personnel Command, Millington, TN; fuel director, NAVSUP FLC, Pearl Harbor, HI; operations deputy director, Joint Task Force Red Hill, Pearl Harbor, HI; and director, plans and operations (SUP 043), NAVSUP Headquarters, Mechanicsburg, PA.

Captain Bossi is a qualified Navy Expeditionary Supply Corps Officer and Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer and a member of the Acquisition Professional Community. His awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Joint Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), Afghanistan Campaign Medal and various other unit and personal decorations.

Command Master Chief, Naval Supply Systems Command

Command Master Chief Ryan M. Colosimo is a native of Minnesota. He enlisted in the Navy in August 1993 and attended Basic Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois. He attended Mess Management Specialist “A” School, San Diego, California, and Basic Enlisted Submarine School, Groton, Connecticut. He holds an Associate of Applied Science in Administrative and Management Studies and is a graduate of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy Class 178 and the Naval Installations Command Senior Shore Leadership Course.

His sea duty assignments include USS Montpelier (SSN 765), Norfolk, Virginia; USS Nevada (SSBN 733), Bangor, Washington; USS O’Kane (DDG 77), Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; USS Denver (LPD 9), Sasebo, Japan; and USS Ashland (LSD 48) in Sasebo, Japan.

Shore assignments include Naval Station San Diego, California; Naval Personnel Command, Millington, Tennessee; Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, North Carolina; Commander, Fleet Activities Chinhae, Korea; Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella, Italy; and Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.

Colosimo is Submarine Warfare and Surface Warfare qualified. His personal awards and decorations include Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Navy Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various other campaign and service awards.
