Ship's stores provide retail goods and services to afloat Sailors as well as funding for afloat recreation programs. Ship's stores sell a variety of items including health and beauty products, snacks, drinks as well as a limited selection of uniform items. In addition to the ship's store, the program also oversees vending, barber shops and laundry.

NEXCOM's Telecommunications Program Office (TPO) acts as the Navy's program manager for all ashore and afloat personal (unofficial) telecommunications. TPO is responsible for both ashore and afloat telecommunication services worldwide.
